TEAM TRIP INFO-FUN FUN FUN!!!!!! (4/16/08 from K. Fleschler)
WE HOPE THAT ALL ELIGIBLE TEAM MEMBERS JOIN US FOR THIS FUN-FILLED WEEKEND TRIP! Please let Kate know by Thursday, April 17, 2008 if you will be joining us for the team trip. The team trip is on June 6-8, 2008 to Albuquerque, NM. The trip is for Gold and Senior team members 9 years old and over. Younger siblings may attend if a parent accompanies them. There will be a chaperone in the room (usually a swim parent) with the 9&10s. We are asking parents that are going on the trip to volunteer as chaperones. If we do not have enough chaperone volunteers we will require that all 9&10s be accompanied by a parent. The tentative cost of the trip is approx. $175 for 4 people per room. Questions? CONGRATULATIONS TO COACH MIKE AND ANDY POTTS!!! (3/18/08 from K. Fleschler)
Andy has been named 2007 USA Male Triathlete of the Year two categories: Olympic Distance Draft Legal and Non-drafting Racing. Among Andy’s many wins in 2007 was winning the Gold Medal at the Pan American Games last July in Brazil and winning the Half Ironman World Championships in November. Coach Mike was named 2007 USA Triathlon Coach of the Year for his work with Andy. Mike has been Andy’s swimming coach since 2002 and took over coaching his bike/run as well in 2004. Mike also coached Shea Wilfong to the USA national 19 & Under title last June. Let\'s bring home a win @ the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials-Triathlon in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Saturday, April 19th. We are all behind you two! CONGRATS AP and COACH MIKE!!!! WE ARE VERY PROUD OF BOTH OF YOU!!!!
