SwimAmerica Director

Tina has been with the Colorado Springs Swim Team since 2001. Tina began her swimming career at age seven in San Antonio, Texas, competing two years in college and an additional two years as a Masters Swimmer while living in Florida. As with many swimmers, Tina’s early jobs included lifeguarding, teaching and coaching with local programs. Tina’s true coaching career began in Bowling Green, Ohio where she was the Assistant Coach for the Bowling Green Swim Club and High School Teams and the Head Coach of the Perrysburg High School Swim Team. After Graduating from Bowling Green State University in 1993, Tina took on the position of Head Novice Coach for Northside Aquatics in San Antonio, Texas. A subsequent move to Fort Lauderdale, Florida allowed for a full-time teaching position and part-time Masters Coaching position with the Fort Lauderdale Swim Team at the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Tina has since taught lessons under the curricula of the American Red Cross in Rutherford, New Jersey and the YMCA here in Colorado Springs. In the fall of 2001, Tina joined the CSST family where she continues to work as the SwimAmerica Director. Tina and husband Kevin reside in Colorado Springs with their three children.
